The Haitian Revolution was a social and cultural revolution, this is shown through the events that occurred during this revolution. It has often been described as the largest and most successful slave rebellion in the Western Hemisphere. Every event that occurs in the revolution is important but there are certain events that are the most important. They include: The Slave Rebellion of 1791, Battle of "Snake Gully", and Battle of Vertières. The Slave Rebellion of 1791 was very significant because it showed the world that inferiors have a voice. All you have to do is get together and express your opinions. Slaves were treated badly in Haiti and because of that the slaves started a rebellion and they succeeded. The Battle of "Snake Gully" was important because it shows the power that a group of people have. The revolutionaries were able to take down the French. The Battle of Vertières was significant because was one of the major battles. This battle also showed how when people stand together and work together they can succeed.
